I am amazed at the media hype this wedding has generated. At work the gals are buzzing about what Kate Middleton’s dress may look like? Who will attend? What gastronomical delights will guests be treated to?
I remember Princess Di’s nuptials and I recollect being very excited about it because it was after all during a time when we believed in and embraced fairy tale weddings. Unfortunately, our nation is no longer as naive and many no longer believe nor care.
Still, I will William & Kate’s Wedding (opting for the shortest broadcast!) and view it at my leisure over the weekend. I will not spend money to dine with a bunch strangers at a hotel and view the Royal Nuptials on big screen TVs. I will also not play hooky and miss work due to me being awake at 2:00 a.m. so that I don’t miss a thing.
